Dental Surgery Assisting (DSA)

Tulipohamba Training and assessment Institute has designed a one-year certificate program to prepare students for a dental surgery assistant. Currently those employed as assistant in the country have not undergone any formal training except on job training. This program will facilitate training of some of those that have not undergone formal training and have been assisting

in dental clinics to enhance their theoretical know how. This training will equip students with knowledge as well as safe, competent and marketable skills in providing effective service to the dental team, through high quality levels of experimental training and instruction.

The program is designed to address all the different skills a graduate will require. It also focuses on the principles of true four hand dentistry that can increase productivity and reduce and reduce stress and strain on the dental team. Main focus will also be in infection control and safety in the work place
